07.03.10 National County Finals... Great Yarmouth...
From the four sides that represented us in the National Finals at Great Yarmouth it was the Juniors that came away winners. They beat Cambridgeshire 23-18 to win the innaugural County Knockout Cup.
The A side just about came up short losing in the main event,'The Championship', to London 23-17.
The Ladies also in the main event made it to the final before falling to Lancashire 23-13.
The B side failed to reach the semi-final stage losing out to London 23-20 at in the early hours of Sunday.

06.03.10 National County Finals... Great Yarmouth...
The first result from the national finals has arrived ... The Juniors beat Cumbria Juniors 24-18. The match finished approx. 1.45 am (but didn't start until 10pm) .

28.02.10 Staffs Singles, Doubles and Threes Deadline Extended / Draw Date & Venue
The deadline for entries into Staffordshire's most prestiguos
competition has been extended until Thursday March 11th.
The draw for all three events will take place after the next
county meeting at Longton WMC om March 11th. Entries
therefore will be taken up until 8pm that evening.
Please print off the form on the relevant page and send it to the Competition organiser Martyn Bull.

Interleague Knockout will be played on Saturday 12th June at Players Pool Club.
15.02.10 County News.... Fixture Switch and Ladies match Cancelled......
The forthcoming Home match v Notts on Sunday May 16th has been switched to Notts home venue the Phoenix Club. The return fixture on Sunday August 8th therefore will be played at home, players Pool Club.
The ladies fixture against Shropshire on Sunday March 14th has been cancelled, no re-arranged date has been confirmed as yet.
14.02.10 World Championship Qualifiers
Entry form is available for the World Championship qualifier to be held at Great Yarmouth on Thursday 15th April / Friday 16th April. Four players will qualify to take part in the World Championships in Blackpool in June. The form is available on the EPA MEN'S EVENTS link........ Closing date for entries Monday 15th March.

05.02.10 COUNTY SEASON STARTS SUNDAY ........
Sunday sees the opening match in the 2010 season for Staffordshire. The side are at home to Derbyshire. The match starts at 12 noon and spectators are welcome at Players Pool Club.
All the sides' results will appear here as soon as we get them.
31.01.10 INTERLEAGUE FIXTURES ARE OUT.....
On the interleague link you can find the fixtures for the forthcoming season. as you are now aware there are 6 sides in the' Elite' league and 8 sides in the 'Premier' League. Both leagues will be playing 'twice' around.
23.01.10 COUNTY NATIONAL FINALS .... DRAW CONFIRMED ....
The draws for the national County finals which feature our men's
A and B sides, the ladies and the County Knockout Cup that will
be contested by our juniors have now been officially released.
In previous years the draws have been made at 10pm on the Friday
night prior to a 9am start on the Saturday. Due to the increase
size of the competition a decision was made in November to do
the draws at the January National meeting. Unfortunately it was
leaked out and appeared on certain websites.

23.01.10 INTERLEAGUE START DATE....
The 2010 Interleague season starts on Friday 26th
February. With a new structure to the event, the top
six sides from last season will play each other home and away.
The remaining sides will play each other in the bottom
section.

23.01.10 COUNTY MEETING
The opening county meeting of the 2010 season is on Thursday 28th January 8pm Longton WMC.
17.01.10 MEN'S COUNTY TRIALS
At today's Men's trials four players qualified by right and
three players who failed have received 'wild cards' for the 2010
season.
Mark Buckley (retrialist) , Andy Cragg (retrialist) , Ryan Cope
(retrialist) and Steve Finney (Qualifier) all made it through.
Wild cards have been chosen and details once all players have
been informed will be released.

09.01.10 West Midlands B pull out of Juniors
West midlands B who were in the Junior section, because Shropshire do not have a junior county side, have pulled out of the competition. The fixtures have been re-done on the juniors page, which shows two byes in each round of matches.
